Cartier Intersects up to 13.3 g/t Au on Dollier

Cartier Resources Inc. (TSX-V: ECR) (“Cartier”) announces its 2011 drill results on its Dollier project located in the Chibougamau region. Drilling has delineated a continuous gold-bearing zone which increases in grade and thickness at depth and remains open along a steep westerly plunge.

Drilling, conducted up to a depth of 150 meters, has confirmed the presence of gold enrichment. The main gold zone was intersected in each drill hole, demonstrating its continuity. An envelope of higher grade gold at depth emerges, illustrated on figure 1 by the metal factor. The best drill intersections include the following results:

D0-11-26
13.3 g/t Au over 1.2 meter included within a broader interval grading 0.5 g/t Au over 47.8 meters

D0-11-03
11.9 g/t Au over 1.0 meter included within a broader interval grading 0.4 g/t Au over 34.2 meters

D0-11-08
4.3 g/t Au over 1.5 meter included within a broader interval grading 0.3 g/t Au over 30.3 meters

D0-11-25
4.0 g/t Au over 1.5 meter included within a broader interval grading 0.5 g/t Au over 17.0 meters

D0-11-28
5.1 g/t Au over 0.9 meter included within a broader interval grading 0.1 g/t Au over 54.0 meters

Economical gold zones are generally surrounded by a low grade halo, a zone that may indicate the presence of gold enrichment” explains Philippe Cloutier, President and CEO. “We believe that surface channel results on the Dollier shear zone have identified this type of halo. Then, our phase one drilling to a depth of 50 meters indicated a first area of interest. Results of the second drilling programme suggest we are moving closer to a system with the capacity of returning higher grades over wider intervals. Each phase of work at Dollier delivers good news”.

Cartier’s exploration team proposes additional drilling associated with a new induced polarization (IP) geophysical survey to evaluate the extension of the gold zone. “We wish to continue work on Dollier. The project is available for option and we are actively seeking a partner to continued exploration” concluded Philippe Cloutier.

Quality Assurance/Quality Control
The Dollier exploration program is conducted under the supervision of Mr. Philippe Berthelot, P. Geo., and Vice President Exploration for Cartier who is a qualified person as defined by National Instrument 43-101. Cartier has implemented and adheres to a strict Quality Assurance/Quality Control program which includes mineralized standards and blanks for each batch of samples. Assay samples are taken from drill core sawed in half with one half sent to a commercial laboratory and the other half retained for future reference. Analyses are either performed by Techni-lab S.G.B. Abitibi Inc. (ACTLABS) in Sainte-Germaine, Quebec, or by ALS-Chemex in Val-d’Or, Quebec, both accredited laboratories.

About Cartier
The company’s objective is to set up a dynamic process which will allow it to develop and maintain a balanced portfolio of mining projects ranging from exploration to resource definition, development and production.

Its VISION is to develop the company’s current and future assets into near to medium term mineral production with a schedule consistent with its human and financial resources and respecting sustainable development practices.
