Cartier Copper Discovery Matched With Prominent EM Conductors

Val-d’Or, Quebec, September 30th, 2010 – Cartier Resources Inc. (TSX-V: ECR) (”Cartier”) is pleased to announce positive results from its geophysical survey on its Rivière Doré copper-nickel property. The property is situated 100 kilometers south-east of Val-d’Or. The survey outlined numerous conductors coincident with magnetic highs in the basal portion of the mafic intrusive. In this area, high priority conductors are associated with Cartier’s surface copper discovery (refer to November 18, 2009 press release). Target selection is in progress in order to define a new phase of exploration work including drilling.

The recent survey was completed by AeroQuest which employed its AeroTEM IV system. Over 3,668 line kilometres spaced every 200 metres were flown to cover the entire prospective trend. This trend is characterized by a prominent magnetic high that spans over 85 kilometers in length. The survey provides a very detailed signature of the layered intrusive complex and has identified numerous conductors over the favorable contact area. The team is currently focused on a group of conductors situated within the basal portion of the intrusive where Cartier discovered copper-nickel mineralization.

“We now have priority geophysical targets that suggest continuity of the surface copper discovery mineralization”, commented Philippe Cloutier, President and CEO, “our team will focus on these targets for ground follow-up and drilling. Our goal is to provide significant discovery through drilling.”

Quality Assurance/Quality Control

Cartier has implemented and adheres to a strict Quality Assurance/Quality Control program which includes mineralized standards and blanks for each batch of samples. Analyses are either performed by Techni-lab S.G.B. Abitibi inc. in Sainte-Germaine, Quebec, or by ALS-Chemex in Val-d’Or, Quebec, both accredited laboratories.

The exploration program and the scientific and technical information presented in this release are under the supervision of Mr. Philippe Berthelot, P. Geo., qualified person as defined by National Instrument 43-101.
